A pearl choker necklace, composed of a French early 20th century diamond and pearl roundel, the central pearl set within a circle of diamonds, and a fine latticework surround with outer pearl border, the reverse bearing partially struck French hallmarks composed of a lozenge maker’s mark and guarantee mark probably for platinum, and the framework numbered indistinctly to the opposing side, possibly ‘1701’, the roundel later mounted to a pearl mesh choker necklace, with white precious metal slide clasp stamped ‘14k’, (all pearls untested for natural versus cultured origin), length 33.5cm, diameter of roundel 17mm. £1,400-£2,000
