Of Regimental interest: A set of three 1st Royal Lancashire Militia (The Duke of Lancaster’s Own) silver fiddle pattern table forks, engraved ‘On / promotion / Captn CH Bird / 1870’, two with London hallmark for 1824 and partial maker’s marks possibly for William Chawner, one with London hallmark for 1828 and maker’s mark ‘LS’, length 20.5cm.
