Bank of England, Frank May, £5, Newcastle on Tyne, 15 July 1889, serial number P/24 68640, ink numeral at top left and reverse, toning along right margin, minor staining in body of note, a lovely original very fine, ‘English Paper Money’ only lists two known examples in private hands and this example is the plate note, excessively rare!
