Banque de Syrie et du Liban, Lebanon, 5 Livres, 1939, serial number A.46 051, a contemporarily forged black ‘SYRIE 1939’ overprint, graffiti in watermark field, fine, a very interesting and unusual piece, and actually an obvious forgery because this design never actually circulated in Syria at all!
