George Bungay was born in Salisbury on 11 August 1852 and enlisted into the R.M.L.I. on 11 May 1870. Serving in Egypt, he was wounded in action at Suakin on 22 March 1885 and was invalided out of the service on 8 July 1885. He died on 11 December 1887.
