Frederick Thomas Luxford was born in Carlton, Nottinghamshire, and attested for the King’s Royal Rifle Corps at Walthamstow, Essex. He served with the 8th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 4 December 1917. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
