Tom Titterington was born in Broadbottom, Cheshire, and attested for the Royal Scots Fusiliers at Stalybridge. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 26 July 1915, and died of wounds on 6 July 1916. He is buried in Longuenesse (St. Omer) Souvenir Cemetery, France.
George Titterington, brother of the above, was born in Broadbottom, Cheshire, and attested for the Royal Scots Fusiliers at Stalybridge. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 4 October 1915, and was killed in action on 27 March 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
