Thomas William Berry was born at Woodstock, Oxfordshire, and attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry at Witney. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War in the Asiatic Theatre from 5 December 1914, and was killed in action at the battle of Ctesiphon in Mesopotamia on 22 November 1915. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Basra Memorial, Iraq.
Belgian Croix de Guerre unconfirmed.
