Harry Beck attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War in the Asiatic Theatre (Mesopotamia) from 5 December 1914. He later transferred to the Worcestershire Regiment attaining the rank of Sergeant.
