C. Harding attested for the Royal Warwickshire Regiment and served with the 2nd Battalion in South Africa during the Boer War.
Sold together with a double sided oval pin back brooch, with bevelled glass, containing a photographic image of two uniformed soldiers, one presumed to be the recipient, with an additional part hand coloured photograph to the reverse of a young lady; and a postcard size photograph of the recipient in later years wearing his medal, accompanied by his wife.
