The Viceregal Consort of Canada is the spouse of the serving Governor-General of Canada, and ranks third in the Canadian Order of Precedence, after the monarch and the Governor-General. They are ex officio an Extraordinary Companion of the Order of Canada and a Knight or Dame of Justice of he Order of St. John of Jerusalem.
Gabrielle Léger (1916-98) was the wife of Jules Léger, 21st Governor-General of Canada, who held office from 1974-79.
