Sold with the following original documents and photographs: Command Training Centre Royal Marines, Commando Course completion certificate and authorisation to wear the Green Beret, 9 April 1981; printed account of the Ordnance Squadron’s service in the Falklands; two photographs of the recipient in uniform, one on board ship during the Falklands War; photocopied edition of The Daily Oak for 22 May 1982, 6pp, as posted on notice boards the day after the initial landing; coloured photograph of Robson receiving his Fire Brigade long service medal in September 2005; and Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Service certificate of retirement, 1 October 2009, after 24 years service.
The Ordnance Squadron of the Commando Logistic Regiment Royal Marines was the first RAOC unit to become involved in the Falklands conflict and the first to land, on D-Day, on Falkland Islands soil.
