William White, 2nd Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment, died on active service in England on 16 January 1942, aged 39 years. He was the son of Fred and Sarah White, of Bridlington, and husband of Ida White, also of Bridlington. He is buried in Bridlington Cemetery.
