Madeira Islands, Banco de Portugal overprinted issue, 500 Reis, 1 June 1891, serial number 01094, with purple oval handstamp at centre, in PMG holder 20, very fine. This note is of the utmost rarity, to the extent that we were unable to find any record of sales for any notes from the islands in the last several decades. A truly remarkable item, and potentially a once in a generation opportunity
