Pair: Staff Nurse Elizabeth A. Bertwhistle, Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve

British War and Victory Medals (S. Nurse E. A. Bertwhistle) mounted for display on an original framed but unglazed presentation certificate issued by the Joint Committee of the British Red Cross Society and the Order of St. John of Jerusalem named to Miss Elizabeth A. Birtwhistle [sic] ‘in recognition of valuable services rendered during the War’, together with a hand coloured photographic image of the recipient, certificate yellowed and a little faded, otherwise nearly extremely fine (2) £70-£90

Miss Elizabeth Ann Bertwhistle qualified at the Liverpool Royal Infirmary in 1912 and served as Staff Nurse with the Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve during the Great War in Malta from 19 October 1915.
