Charles Pleydell Calley served as President of the Surbiton Conservative Association, and was awarded the O.B.E. in the 1958 New Year’s Honours’ List.

Sold with a luxury leather bound, gilt blocked and illuminated book of signatures presented to Mr C .P. Calley, in recognition of his 25 years loyal and devoted service as Chairman and Member of the Surbiton Hospital Committee 1932-57; and several press cuttings regarding the recipient and the award of the O.B.E., including copy photographs, extremely fine
