Of approximately 99 Egypt Medals with “El-Teb-Tamaai” clasp awarded to the Royal Navy, 20 were issued to men from the ship’s company of H.M.S. Briton, and less than half of these as single clasp awards. An Able Seaman John Cross, H.M.S. Briton, is listed as being wounded at the Battle of Tamaai but it is not confirmed as the same man.
