James Wilfred Lloyd attested for the 10th (Scottish) Battalion, Liverpool Regiment on 1 September 1914 and was one of the original contingent who travelled to France aboard the S.S. Maidan in November 1914. Discharged on 25 May 1915 through illness and was awarded the Silver War Badge (No.17803).
