Edward James Osborne, of Bury St. Edmund’s, Suffolk, attested for the Suffolk Regiment and served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 26 January 1915. He was killed in action on 6 May 1915, and is buried in Wytschaete Military Cemetery, Belgium.

Bertie Osborne, the brother of the above, attested for the Suffolk Regiment and served with the 8th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 14 August 1915. He died of wounds on 15 November 1918, and is buried in Brebieres British Cemetery, France, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Roll of Honour also recording that he served with the 1st/1st Battalion, Cambridgeshire Regiment.
