India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Burma 1885-7 (Lieutt. C. J. H. Helbert. 1st. Bn. R.W. Fus.) very fine £240-£280

Charles John Helbert Helbert was born in London on 22 April 1864, the son of Captain F. H. Helbert, 5th Madras Light Cavalry, and was commissioned into the Royal West Kent Militia on 23 April 1881. He transferred to a regular commission in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers in 1885, and served with the 1st Battalion in India and Burma from 24 April 1886. Returning to England, he resigned his commission on 3 August 1887, and joined the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers on 22 March 1890. Advanced Major on 21 July 1902, he died on 27 January 1903.
