Wilson, L.S., R.N.); British War Medal 1914-20 (J.47197 J. Lamond. A.B. R.N.) together with the related miniature award; War Medal 1939-45, together with the related miniature award; Memorial Plaque (William Atkin) with traces of adhesive to reverse; United States of America, Korea Medal, unnamed as issued; together with a copy South Africa 1877-79, 1 clasp, 1877; a copy Khedive’s Sudan 1910-21, 2nd issue, no clasp; and an erased 1914-15 Star, generally good very fine (10) £180-£220

William Atkin attested for the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment and served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 11 December 1914. He was killed in action on 11 March 1915; he has no known grave and is commemorated on Le Touret Memorial, France.
