15th century, a purse bar, oval suspension loop mounted through a central shield-shaped block, the crossbar with an inscription in niello, O Domine Chrisste St Maria St Barba [which translates to ‘Christ the Lord, Holy Mary, Saint Barbara’]. Fine with rough surfaces £150-£200
