Greek Coinages, Northern Lucania, Velia, Nomos, c. 300-280, head of Athena right, wearing crested helmet ornamented with wing on wreath, rev. lion walking right, grain ear above, υελητων in exergue, 7.21g (HN Italy 1309; Pozzi 658; McClean 1461; SNG ANS 1379; SNG Lockett 564). Light porosity and some old scratches on reverse, otherwise better than very fine, toned £200-£260
