Harry Lewis Johnson attested for the Army Cyclist Corps on 22 July 1915 and served with them during he Great War on the Western Front from 27 January 1916. He was wounded by gun shot to the left thigh on 10 October 1918, and was discharged on account of his wounds on 24 May 1919.
