Henry John Denton served during the Great War on the Western Front with the 11th Battalion, London Regiment from 5 February 1917 to 29 January 1918, and as No. 698142 with the 22nd Battalion, London Regiment from 30 January 1918 to 7 February 1919. He was awarded the T.F.E.M. per Army Order No. 67 of 1 February 1919.
