Charles Grey Lamb was born in Sunderland, Durham, on 5 November, 1895. He served during the Great War in the Royal Garrison Artillery (Special Reserve) and was commissioned Second Lieutenant on 1 June 1918. He was promoted Lieutenant in October 1919 and was awarded the India General Service Medal for service with No. 3 Mountain Battery R.G.A. His T.F.W.M. was a late issue in 1930. He died in Sunderland in January 1976.
