Three: Private J. McIlroy, Gordon Highlanders, who was killed in action on the Western Front on 16 May 1915

James McIlroy attested for the Gordon Highlanders and served with them in South Africa during the Boer War, and then with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 28 October 1914 (also entitled to a 1914 Star with clasp). He was killed in action on 16 May 1915, but has no known grave and is commemorated on Le Touret Memorial, France, which bears the names of those soldiers from the United Kingdom who fell in the neighbourhood of Festubert and Neuve-Chapelle before 25 September 1915.
