Stanley George Shrewsbury Brown was born in Chelsea, London in January 1901. He joined the Royal Flying Corps as a Boy in December 1917, and transferred as a Boy in to the Royal Air Force in April 1918. Brown served with 99 Squadron in India from April 1919, and was discharged in April 1921.
