Three: Corporal E. A. Warden, H.Q. Signal Company, Canadian Engineers, late Canadian Field Artillery, who died of an accident on the Western Front, 16 September 1917

Ernest Alfred Warden was born in London in December 1891, and was educated at Surrey House School, Margate, and Dulwich College. He was the son Emily Warden of 138 Selhurst Road, South Norwood. Warden was an Electrical Engineer, and initially served during the Great War with the Canadian Field Artillery. He advanced to Corporal, and transferred to H.Q. Signal Company, Canadian Engineers. Corporal Warden died as a result of an accident on 16 September 1917, and is buried in the Bruay Communal Cemetery Extension, Pas de Calais, France.
