Keith Hutchinson Vaughan-Arbuckle was born in Lambeth, London, in September 1909 and served with the Indian Army during the Second World War. He latterly owned a tea estate in Malabar and was attacked by a 'flying snake' in 1959, the events being published the following year in the Journal of The Bombay Natural History Society.
