67th (South Hampshire) Regiment of Foot Officer’s Shoulder Belt Plate.
A fine example c.1826-45, silver, hallmarked London 1826, with maker’s mark IP, the rectangular back plate with eight-pointed star, crowned laurel wreath with title belt ‘South Hampshire’, to the centre stipled ’67’, tripart scroll with 'Barrosa, Peninsula, India’, below Indian tiger, complete with hooks and studs to the rear, and original leather backing, the rectangular back plate pierced with several addition holes, very good condition £600-£800
