Edward Fallon was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and attested there for the Northumberland Fusiliers. He served with the 24th (Tyneside Irish) Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 1916, and was killed in action on 31 March 1916. He is buried in Brewery Orchard Cemetery, Bois-Grenier, France.
