A late 19th century pearl, diamond and sapphire brooch, the composite jewel set throughout with seed pearls (five deficient), and comprising a bow brooch surmount suspending a pierced drop centred with a vari-cut sapphire and old brilliant-cut diamond horseshoe, within a rose-cut diamond surround, glazed compartment verso, mounted in gold, old brilliant-cut diamond weight approximately 0.15 carat, length 26mm.
