East India Company, Bengal Presidency, Calcutta Mint: post-1761 issues, copper Half-Anna in the name of ‘Shah ‘Alam II (1173-1221h/1759-1806), 1188h [1774-5], shah alam badshah ghazi [Shah Alam victorious emperor], rev. zarb kalkata maimanat 10 panjana [struck at prosperous Calcutta tenth of 5 annas], 13.95g/5h (Prid. 190 [Sale, lot 625]; Stevens 2.199; KM. 17). About very fine, full mint name and date visible, extremely rare, probably less than 10 specimens known £1,500-£2,000
