with hinged lid, tall spout, and S-scroll handle, the ovoid body raised on spreading circular foot, etched with a scene of Phoebus (Apollo), God of the Sun, with his chariot, the reverse depicting Aurora, Goddess of the Dawn, with etched anthemion border below, base numbered ‘2509’, height 28.5cm.
