Roman Imperatorial Coinage, Julius Cæsar, Denarius, travelling military mint in North Africa, 47-6, diademed head of Venus right, rev. caesar, Æneas advancing left, carrying palladium in right hand and Anchises on left shoulder, 3.75 (Craw. 458/1; BMCRR East 31-5; RSC 12). Small scratch in reverse field, otherwise very fine and well-centred for type £300-£400
