George III (1760-1820), Soho Mint, Birmingham, Proof Halfpenny, 1806 (late Soho), in bronzed-copper, from currency dies [obv. altered], laureate bust right, wreath of 11 leaves, brooch of 8 jewels of which the uppermost is very small, k . on shoulder, rev. Britannia seated left, olive branch with 10 leaves and 3 berries, line under soho, ship with long pennant and incuse gunports, edge centre-grained, 9.39g/6h (BMC 1370 [KH 42]; ‘Selig’ 1405; S 3781).
