Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Halfgroats (4), all Gp A, type 1a, mm. anchor, 0.85g/5h, mm. castle, 0.94g/9h, mm. heart, 0.86g/8h, mm. negro’s head, 0.93g/9h, all without inner circles (SCBI Brooker 659ff; N 2249; S 2823); together with Tower mint Pennies (3), various types and mintmarks, and an Irish Ormonde Threepence [8]. Nearly fine to nearly very fine, last pierced and crudely plugged £100-£150
