Benjamin Wright was born in Hanley, Staffordshire and enlisted at Stoke-on-Trent. Serving with the 130th Field Company, Royal Engineers, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 28 September 1915 and died of wounds on 18 June 1917, aged 27 years. The husband of Betsy Wright of Milton Street, Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent, he was buried in the Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, Nord, France.
