The Prince of Wales’s Own Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry, a very fine and scarce officer’s full dress sabretache c1863-1901, the red cloth face edged with silver bullion lace of chevron and central crimson line train lace, central ornaments comprise St. Edward’s crown in gold and silver lace with crimson velvet cushions, silver lace ‘VR’ cypher over the Prince of Wales’s crest and motto in silver and gold bullion with blue silk scrolls, three ornate scrolls bearing the unit title in rich purple velvet and silver lace, complete with red moroccan bag, ‘D’ rings etc (see Carman p43), very fine condition £500-700
