North York Rifles Militia, part only of an officer’s pouch belt c1840, this mounted with fine quality plated badges comprising, a whistle guard of cross pattern with central design of a crowned rose and laurel sprays, a separate rose of multi petalled pattern, and a special bulbous pattern whistle and case, the whistle bearing a maker’s mark of a fleur-de-lys, chains not present, two wire fasteners missing from the rose otherwise good condition; 5th Royal Irish Lancers, a good quality last pattern KC other ranks lance cap plate in gilding metal complete with screw fasteners and nuts; 1796 Pattern Gorget an officer’s copper gilt example bearing crowned ‘GR’ cypher and laurels, little gilt remains, no liner, good condition (3) £200-250
