Welsh R.); India General Service 1908-35, 1 clasp, Afghanistan N.W.F. 1919 (163594 Gnr. J. G. Cook. M.G. Cps.); together with Welsh Regiment and Machine Gun Corps cap badges, good very fine (4) £100-£140

Joseph George Cook attested for the Welsh Regiment and served with them, and the Mercantile Marine, during the Great War. He saw further service with the Machine Gun Corps (Motors) during the Third Afghan War, and was discharged, Class ‘Z’ Reserve, on 29 January 1920.
