Leo James McCabe, brother of the above, was born in Strathroy, Ontario, on 23 February 1897, and attested there for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 15 January 1916. Posted initially to the 135th Battalion, he subsequently served with the Canadian Army Medical Corps during the Great War.
