Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Transvaal, South Africa 1902 (335 Pte. W. G. Goldring. Vol: Coy. Hamp: Regt.) edge bruising, nearly very fine £70-£90

William George Goldring was born in Shanklin, Isle of Wight, in 1880 and attested for the Hampshire Regiment at Newport, Isle of Wight, on 10 February 1902, having previously served in the Regiment’s 5th Volunteer Battalion. He served with the Volunteer Company, 2nd Battalion, in South Africa during the Boer War from 8 March to 31 July 1902, and was discharged on 30 August 1902.
