Lydia Theresa Wynn initially served as Staff Nurse in the medical wards at the Northern General Hospital from 26 October 1915 to 13 July 1917. Transferred to the 30th General Hospital in Boulogne, she was discharged from the service in April 1919 and awarded the Portuguese Chevalier of the Order of Christ on 26 November 1919. Returned home to Beverley in Yorkshire, her Nursing Service Record adds: ‘A very good nurse and kind to the patients.’

Sold with the recipient’s T.F.N.S. cape badge with top wearing pin.
