Minnie Fields lived at Birkenhead, Cheshire, and joined the Territorial Force Nursing Service on 28 December 1916. Posted to France on 20 February 1918 and demobilised a year later, her reference adds a little more detail:

‘Takes great interest in her work. Miss Fields is a very good nurse and has done good work, is conscientious and capable, and painstaking.’
