Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., narrow suspension (Richd. H. Lander Chf. Car. Mate H.M.S. Thunderer) impressed naming, contact marks, otherwise very fine £70-£90

Richard Hosking Lander was born in Devonport, Devon, in May 1850. He joined the Royal Navy as a Shipwright in October 1871, and advanced to Chief Carpenter’s Mate in May 1881. Service included with H.M.S. Thunderer from December 1879 to October 1881 (awarded L.S. & G.C. in November 1881). Lander was shore pensioned in October 1891.
