Cecil William Nason was born in Willesden, Middlesex, in 1895. Noted in 1911 as a gas company clerk residing in Kilburn, he attested for the London Regiment and served with the 13th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 3 November 1914 (also entitled to a 1914 Star).
