Frank Berry, a servant at the Carlton Club, London, was born in West Huntspill, Somerset, in 1881. He attested into the Metropolitan Police in April 1902 and was assigned to Lambeth Division, before later moving to ‘V’ Division, Wandsworth. He retired in 1927.

Ernest Stagg, a tile maker from Bridgwater, Somerset, was born in July 1887. He attested into the Metropolitan Police in 1907 and served with ‘B’ Division at Westminster, before later transferring to ‘Y’ Division at Highgate in January 1914. He left the police force in August 1917.
