James Inglis, a Labourer from Port Arthur, Ontario, was born in Cardiff, Wales, around 1893. A member of the Militia, he attested into the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 23 October 1914 for service during the Great War. He served on the Western Front with the 28th Battalion and was awarded the Military Medal in July 1919.
